YODC is responsible for organizing the biennial municipal caucus for the Maine Democratic party in York and Ogunquit. These activities are coordinated at the county level with the York County Democratic Committee. In years without a national or state election, regular YODC meetings and special events are held on topics of interest to local democrats.

In recent years, the YODC has begun partnering with seacoast democrats by organizing joint meetings and shared events. In 2018, the town committees of York, Ogunquit, Kittery, South Berwick and Eliot and the York County Democratic Committee worked together to fund and set up a Seacoast Dems campaign office. We work in conjunction with state party staff and volunteers to promote Democratic party candidates and encourage all to become involved in individual campaigns at all levels of government.
